Our Politicians won't act.

The people have given our politicians the power to act but the politicians use only words. They use only the words that the people are still allowed to use. Now even the words of the people are being silenced, being threatened as illegal and associated with terrorism.

Where is our democracy?

Men women and children are being brutally murdered in Palestine by a regime that the UK has deemed as our friend and ally. People in Britain alongside many people across the world feel hopeless in trying to save these people from the horrors imposed on the Palestinians . If we had a real functional democracy then people wouldn't be feeling this despair- an illness affecting the daily lives of many of us in the world.

Israel boast that they represent the West because they are the only democracy in the middle east but they have a history of preventing democracies in other middle east countries. 

We can and should boycott all Israeli goods but we know that is only a long term solution. We protest regularly on the streets but our Media initially reported our politicians calling marches and talks hate crimes. That failing they have done the best to ignore the many thousands who come out regularly on our own streets. Now that Palestine Action has been proscribed as a terrorist organisation there are situations where protestors are being cautioned on the suspicion that they might be associated with terrorism if they are protesting about peace in Palestine.

We need our politicians to represent us in Parliament by demanding action points not just words about how appalling it is. The world knows how appalling it is but also that Britain is complicit in this by

  • Providing Israel with military equipment.
  • Using the RAF for spy flights over Palestine on behalf of Israel.
  • Help train Israeli Soldiers in Britain.
  • Not sanctioning Israeli goods.

While supporting Israel our politicians will say they believe in a two state solution but we have to ask what does that really mean?

  • Will the illegal Settlers give back the land they've stolen?
  • Where will the borders be?

It seems the reality is that this is just a soundbite for the pretence of impartiality! in the face of decades of continuing Apartheid, ethnic cleansing and now moving on to genocide.

We also need the main stream media to be constantly questioning our politicians on why Britain is supporting Israel but again they don't.

If our politicians and media are not listening to the people who are they listening to?

My chance to exert my democratic freedom. On the 30th of October 2024 I was in the audience of debate night Scotland. I had been selected, along with about 50 I think, to be part of the audience the week before and my next step was to put in my questions. I was told there was no agenda set so we could ask any questions we liked as long as we got them in by a set deadline. From the hidden hand to the Narcissists.   The fall of Trump and Musk.  It is clear that our Media (and many politicians) are limited in what they can openly talk about.  There is clearly nontransparent control being exerted.  I previously made the following statement within this blog regards those exerting this control:- “On world affairs there are people with obscene economic power that are obtaining extreme political power.
