The false narrative from the BBC. The hidden hand.
The false narrative from the BBC. The hidden hand.
On world affairs there are people with obscene economic power that are obtaining extreme political power. These Oligarchs, or we could call them “ the hidden hand” are making our world an extremely dangerous place. Trump, Musk, Farage etc are the public faces of this dangerous disorder but it didn't start with them; they are in fact exposing the “ hidden hand” because they are also narcissists with an insatiable desire for not only money, political power but also fame. They have popularized the politics that enable those oligarchs to speed up the delivery of their plans.
The Media have allowed themselves to be influenced by these same people and play a part in this, perhaps in many cases unwittingly. Regardless the MSM have become impotent when they should be leading.
There is unfortunately a false narrative from the BBC that is a typical example of the narrative we get from much of the western mainstream media.
Of course they will deny this and they will claim:-
1. that they are better than social media..
..but that's not the case. They like to compare themselves with social media. However If it weren't for responsible social media we would not get knowledge of many political events both within Britain and abroad.
How much did the public in Britain know about Britain's involvement in the 1948 Nakba in Palestine when they relied only on the the BBC for information…practically nothing. If they did have this knowledge they wouldn't be able to pretend that it stated on October 7th 2023 or by Hamas who only formed in the 1980s.
As for the poorer social media with it's misconceptions; if we look at these flawed outlooks you will find that the BBC has played a huge part in the creation of these popular beliefs and thus enabling those with extreme economic power to have extreme political power.
2. The BBC will also claim or imply:-if all their facts are verified then the narrative can't be false.
Again this is not the case.
A). We need to consider the selection of facts. What they choose and what the omit to broadcast.
Even If the facts are correct the narrative can be completely distorted by which facts are chosen and which are ignored.
b).Other ways the narrative can be false without the BBC stating false information:- The BBC themselves not giving false information but broadcasting other people doing so and denying any responsibility claiming they are only quoting people's viewpoints.
David Lammy talking about Hamas chopping off babies' heads without any evidence apart from unsubstantiated claims by IDF soldiers. And never an apology when debunked.
Suella Braverman, Rishi Sunak labelling the peace protests and speeches as hate crimes and speeches. BBC reporters I have asked about this deny responsibility, and I quote say, “we didn't say that, we were merely reporting”
Pro Zionists/ pro establishment/ right wing/ public misconceptions (derived from the MSM viewpoints) will be aired over and over again by figureheads that the BBC can deny responsibility for.
C) Then there is the choice of descriptive language that can make the narrative false with hidden implications.
Prisoner or hostage. Soldier or terrorist.
Butchered, murdered or simply died.
(Different emphasis depending who is being discussed.)
The BBC recently apologised for calling those taken by Hamas as prisoners and not hostages! They made this mistake once and then they dutifully apologised.
Palestinians just die or get killed but Israeli get horrifically butchered or murdered.
Palestinians held without trial are labelled prisoners which implies guilt for decades and never the need to apologise.
3. The BBC will claim that they are impartial.
A).And this is the most absurd claim as first of all they are not impartial.
B). And secondly impartiality is a completely false benchmark.
Should we balance
*sense with nonsense.
*Truth with lies.
*Nazi soldiers with Jews taken to gas chambers
* With the perpetrators of genocide and the victims of genocide.
C) The presenters on BBC seem to know when the skills of balance and impartiality are needed and when they are not.
When any news could be interpreted as either Pro Palestine or anti Zionist that the BBC feel that they cannot ignore in the face of news reaching us from other media outlets then it won't be long before the skills of impartiality will be called for. There are hundreds of examples, every day with atrocities committed by Settlers and the IDF that will be quickly balanced with, for example, the false narrative that it all started on October 7th. 2023 ( Even though these atrocities precede October 7th 2023 and precede the creation of Hamas)
This doesn't necessarily work the other way. It is quite permissible it would seem to criticise Palestinians without the need for so called impartiality.
These double standards led to the comments frequently aired on MSM that “Israel has the right to defend itself anyway it deems necessary” these statements put the world on a downward spiral to the horrors, to decent people around the world, that gave the go ahead for Genocide and ethnic cleansing that we clearly see.
So let's look at some of the Misconceptions in the general public and social media that the BBC have had a part in:
Regarding the conflicts in Palestine and the Middle East some specific questions need addressed regarding the popular misconceptions:-
A). Some in the public believe that this is a conflict between Muslims and Jews.
Although this myth is slowly being recognised as such thanks to the demonstrations occurring regularly in cities all around the world including Britain, but this false narrative clearly has it's origins in news programmes including the BBC.
The reality can be clearly seen that virtually all Jews who demonstrate on the Streets of Britain show solidarity with the Palestine cause including thousands of Jews that have marched through the streets of London. I have met by-standing people in Edinburgh who believed that these peace demonstrations were anti-semitic and were genuinely surprised when I pointed out Jewish people with banners or indeed speaking at these rallies and in fact this was normal across the country.
The peace protests in general get very little air time on the MSM but when they do you will find that the filming is carefully edited to omit those with Jewish banners or who clearly want to be identified as Jewish to make a valid point. I can think of one exception when the BBC did recognise someone saying they were Jewish, one pro Zionist was seen demanding his right to walk through a peace protest at the same time falsely claiming that Jews were frightened to be on the streets in Britain. The BBC chose to air this while not it seems to have the wisdom to clearly show that many Jews are attending the peace protests without any fear or hateful comments, thousands of them marching across different parts of Britain. Sadly some politicians have jumped on these poor reportings and tried to label the peace protests as hate protests or hate speeches.
So this false narrative which could be so easily clarified but the BBC chose not to, is in fact really anti-semitic. In brushing out much of the Jewish population protesting or expressing “not in my name”or “Jews against genocide” etc. they are in fact implying that Jews are indifferent to this Genocide.
The BBC in particular needs challenged on this. Why are they presenting a completely inaccurate picture that this is a conflict of religion and not a conflict of people defending themselves against colonialism or zionism. Why, indeed, don't they make any effort whatsoever to clarify the difference between anti-semitism and anti-zionism. This can only help to fuel zionism but at the same time being anti-semitic.
B). Another popular Misconception. Many people believe this is a “war” that started on October the 7th 2023.
The BBC recently apologised by calling Israeli hostages “prisoners" while they continually make statements that the war started on October 7th 2023 when Israel retaliated to Hamas.
However they don't seem to accept that Palestinians have the right to defend themselves or apologized for calling the Palestinian hostages, as prisoners, or indeed that the Palestinian have been held without trial for years before October 7th.
So why the reluctance to educate the public from the Balfour agreement in 1917 through the resulting Illegal Settlers, the Nakba and decades of Israeli invasion into Gaza and the West Bank.
C).Another misconception:-many people are unaware that Britain is one of the sides in this so called war or are unaware that we make weapons for Israel to use to commit their genocide.
The BBC can show pictures of the completely inadequate aid, although welcomed and absolutely necessary, being dropped into Palestine with Union flags while not informing the public of the huge trade in weapons and military equipment that the UK have contributed in causing the death and complete destruction of Gaza. We have also to consider the training of Israeli troops in Britain, the use of RAF reconnaissance planes flying over Gaza and sharing the intelligence with Israel.
C. Many people believe that this is not a genocide or of ethnic cleansing.
Clearly anyone referring to genocide are reminded that this cannot be technically called a genocide.
It seems that the BBC are genocide deniers on a par with the holocaust deniers of last century, making a mockery of their recent claim that remembrance day is to make sure “never again” when it is already clearly happening again.
…….
Summary:-
So are we looking at presenters and editors that are merely incompetent, or is it that they lack integrity, or are they deliberately wilfully compliant. It would appear that at least some or up to all of these qualities are ensured on being selected for employment or promotion.
The BBC contributes to the public being misinformed leading to not only anti-Islamic attitudes but it also contributes to anti-Semitism, and are modern day genocide deniers.
The only rational explanation is that the BBC are being influenced by those with undemocratic power who are willing to deliberately confuse the public on issues such as anti-semitism and anti-zionism.
In this way the BBC is encouraging Zionism while at the same time being anti-semitic.
Journalists will know which of their reports are likely to be broadcasted, how they are likely to be presented or edited.
