From the hidden hand to the Narcissists.

 The fall of Trump and Musk. 

It is clear that our Media (and many politicians) are limited in what they can openly talk about.  There is clearly nontransparent control being exerted. 

I previously made the following statement within this blog regards those exerting this control:-

“On world affairs there are people with obscene economic power that are obtaining extreme political power. These Oligarchs, or we could call them “ the hidden hand” are making our world an extremely dangerous place. Trump, Musk, Farage etc are the public faces of this dangerous disorder but it didn't start with them; they are in fact exposing the “ hidden hand” because they are also narcissists with an insatiable desire for not only money, political power but also fame. They have popularized the politics that enable those oligarchs to speed up the delivery of their plans.”


Trump and Musk, however, I believe will eventually be ousted by the hidden oligarchs once their use is over. Those with this extreme influence over politicians have many things in common but they have no interest in each other, nor do they all have any need to get round a table to conspire. The unknowns are how quickly this will will happen and what damage will be done in the meantime.

Because of the additional narcissist nature of Trump and Musk they are out in the open following their own agenda which will have many things in common with those that normally influence anonymously. Now though that the narcissists have too much power they will inevitably be ousted by those who either have different selfish goals and will also be uncomfortable with this openness. Those for example that have allowed the arms industry to flourish, or the West's influence in the Middle East including the Nuclear proliferation in Israel with it's deliberate policy of ambiguity, or those who have allowed the genocide of the Palestinians, (all policies that Trump and Musk etc. also share) will start to distance themselves from Trump/Musk. This is likely to happen because Trump and Musk are “loose cannons” in this anonymous conglomeration chasing their personal interests and inevitably there will be conflicts of interest when many of their naive short term policies will start hurting the pockets of other oligarchs both in America and also in different parts around the world.

If and when we come out of these dark ages Is there a light at the end of the tunnel? With Trump and Musk defeated we will still have the hidden hand lobbying politicians and a Media controlled by them unless the electorate gains awareness of how democracy is and has been failing.

Can we say “never again” but this time mean it?

We must work towards that end.

Asking questions on debate night

My chance to exert my democratic freedom. On the 30th of October 2024 I was in the audience of debate night Scotland. I had been selected, along with about 50 I think, to be part of the audience the week before and my next step was to put in my questions. I was told there was no agenda set so we could ask any questions we liked as long as we got them in by a set deadline. Some of the aims as stated by the organisers are along these lines. “This is when a panel of experts get questions thrown at them by you.”  “ You can ask them any question and they have to listen to you.” “Don't go home regretting the fact that you may have something that you wanted to say but didn't take the opportunity.” Great here is my chance.
